In our settlement we had to pay Anfi a little over £3K for the value for the enjoyment of the product.

JLCA iformed us that if we use our week which is booked for Nov 2018, with maintenance already paid, then Anfi may make a further claim for ‘the enjoyment of the product’. From my calculation Anfi has claimed £200 for each visit we made.

Our judge passed judgement at our prehearing so we wont have to attend court. Big relief, and not to mention the cost savings.

Our contract has been declared null and void. We do not have to return the membership certificate.

The settlement included a sum we have to pay anfi for “enjoyment of the product”. This was based on our usage of anfi. Otherwise costs were as expected, including no costs for maintenance.

We have been told that we can still use the week we have already booked in 2018 as maintenance has been paid but anfi may decide to add a charge to our settlement for the enjoyment of the product!

    Hi Robert

I’ve always found Ryanair as good or as bad as the rest. I share your concern re the recent schedule cancellations.

    I’ve found this recent announcement:

Ryanair, Europe’s largest airline today September 27th confirmed it will slow down its growth this winter (November 2017 to March 2018), by flying 25 less aircraft (of its 400 fleet) from Nov 2017. By reducing its flying schedule in this planned and controlled manner Ryanair will eliminate any risk of further flight cancellations.

    Hi Wolfgang

It’s not just private resales that suffer. I was standing in the queue outside AVC waiting to book my week 12 months in advance. The guy in front had 3 floating weeks in the AVG and had already had to queue the previous 2 weeks and was now in the queue this week to book his 3rd week. This was the only way he could get the 3 weeks together. As he wanted to try and guarantee the booking by being at AVG at the start of tht 12 month window he had no choice.

    Hi

That would be a good enough reason not to fly with Tui. Thomascook have a similar cabin bag weight at 6kg so again we wouldn’t fly with them.  I said I wouldn’t fly with Thomascook however as I’m looking at next years flights they work out £100 per person cheaper than jet2 with earler departure times and as one hold lugage would cost £50 both ways I would save £150- so might be tempted! As mentioned Jet2 are the best of the bunch flying out from Manchester at the weekend. Easyjet and Ryanair fly out during the week and Easyjet don’t have a cabin bag weight allowance.

Shame we have to scroll all the way to the bottom of a thread rather than jump to the first unread post. Any way around this?
