Thanks Brian,
Of the 3 units I rented for the 10th , One was through RCI who have now provided a travel voucher to the value, another Member on here has been really supportive and offered a refund on the private rented week and we are still awaiting clarification on the 3rd Units Owner.
Where we “fell between the cracks” is that the FOC only changed the” all but essential travel” just less than 2 weeks before travel so AVC would not cancel bookings as it just fell under the 2 week notice period. (by 1 day).
So glad to see Anfi back open but unfortunately our family situation would not enable us to have 2 weeks quarantine on our return due to a knock on effect of other non traveling household family. Also due to lack of insurance whilst on hols (would be typical of me to slip and break my leg after the Monte happy hour cocktails) is too great a risk to reward at this time.
But I hope to be back soon and would happily buy you a pint and have a quick chat in a place we all seem to call our 2nd home !
Cheers
Andy

Thanks for the reply, One owner’s latest email was basically you rented it off me and had the Guest cert, so you are the new owner!, I have explained AVC will not deal with me as clearly I’m not the contractual weeks owner so awaiting a further response, the other Owner is still in contact with AVC and I’ve not heard anything today (as yet), but on a positive note another unit booked through RCI have refunded the cost onto my exchange week account and I have 6 months to use.
Its a horrible situation for everybody, but would you know if as weeks owners they could be entitled to a rebate on their maintenance for this year and they can’t use their unit due to UK travel restrictions implemented after the 2 week cancellation period (by 1 day) Ahhh.
Thanks
Andy
