by the way Norwegian only have their Gatwick flights up to March released at present but must be releasing summer schedule soon as they normally let you book 10 months ahead
Next March a Sat – Sat flight is £110 return with seats and hold baggage – no Monday flights, though they also fly out & back Wednesdays. Mondays hopefully come in on the summer schedule, as they have been this and previous years

09/10/2017 at 2:05 pm #16566Liverpool have some better priced flights with Ryanair (on skyscanner) from £276 direct
Gatwick expensive in half term too
Leeds is more expensive, and Birmingham really expensive
06/10/2017 at 6:20 pm #16519Indeed! I was at a Radisson Blu in Malta recently which is a mix of timeshare and hotel, and though I got a deal as listened to timeshare presentation, the rates on booking.com are pretty steep
Mind they had a lovely restaurant, great breakfast albeit 15 euro per head – and did a very good buffet style dinners for 29 euros each – you could buy a meal package and save cash, and their timeshare owners got 15% off. Much better food than the local outlets in Plaza / onsite
06/10/2017 at 1:39 pm #16516This doesn’t help with those further north unless you can get to Gatwick. Pam and I are flying Norwegian from Gatwick going out in October and back mid November. For both of us £326 in total with booked seats and 20kg hold luggage
Because we are going out in half term on Monday that leg is £110 each, the return on a Wednesday is £53 each. Outside of half term the outgoing leg would have been nearer £60 each
On outgoing the direct flight arrives very late evening, so we are going earlier via Madrid, which gets us at GC for 6.30pm – will have to see how the change at Madrid goes, as in theory time for lunch between the flights.
Our return is Wednesday as in November Norwegian chnage to winter schedule and drop the Monday flight back to Gatwick. We could have booked Easyjet, but decided to book a hotel in north of island for 2 nights before flying back. Its midday flight so very convenient.
Last year we stayed 2 nights at Hotel Santa Catalina which is very good, though need to look around to get a good price
This year is a hotel on edge of a crater and Pam who doesn’t like heights was the one who booked it!!06/10/2017 at 9:49 am #16510Hi Becca
Anfi have taken back “weeks” from other people – Customer Services can advise and/or point you to the right person. Maria Hidalgo mhidalgo@anfi.es is the Head of Customer Services.
They can also advise if there is any likelihood of being able to sell the points. From what I’ve heard they don’t normally pay much if anything, unless you’d had a fixed week in high season / good apartment.
At least they can confirm if the concern your mother has on future maintenance can be be alleviated.
Good luck!
Kind regards, Brian
05/10/2017 at 11:08 pm #16505Hi
Being a points owner like your mother, I do suggest you look into options. Turning over to Anfi for no return seems a worst case option.
On your direct question Anfi normally take weeks back after 2nd year of non payment. Though they will talk to you about hand back. For now you could turn points into an actual week(s) and rent that out to cover costs, or a small profit if popular weeks. Short term you can cover your maintenance costs
Also please remember that 1 weeks points at Gran Anfi are about 1.5 weeks at Beach Club, so look at options if renting.
Our Anfi UK rentals weeks have 80% success rate, more so in popular weeks, so very likely you can offset costs, as via points you can get weeks that floating weeks struggle to access. On legal options much has been posted on the Claims part of this website
Please think about what is best for you before you hand back to Anfi. Though the claims route will take some time at least you may regain some of the many thousands of pounds your mother must have spent, including in the cooling off periodJulie is much better qualified than me to comment on options, and you may wish to look over comments on the Claims section
Kind regards, Brian

30/09/2017 at 7:20 pm #16350David, what you’ve suggested is a good start + Liam’s items.
Also agree that Spar in Arguineguin is good value, if you need other items.27/09/2017 at 7:13 pm #16299Pam & I are out later in October and not sure whether to risk trying this or walk 10 minutes to Valentinos, or the others near Valentinos, which have always been great over last 15+ years. We have avoided on-site food after several disappointments.
25/09/2017 at 5:32 pm #16235Do JLCA consider points, without underlying week(s), are similar to floating weeks claims-wise?

18/09/2017 at 6:38 pm #16078just hoping for some feedback as to whether the new structure does help navigate the Forum sections!!
18/09/2017 at 6:37 pm #16077Lets hope it is positive. Could mean a combined hotel and timeshare operation, which may work OK – have seen elsewhere.
May even get rid of sales if they let spare rooms as hotel!!& Richard thanks for the update – may see you later October when Pam & I are out at Anfi, plus of course at next Anfi UK committee meeting on the 30th September!!
15/09/2017 at 11:49 am #15999Hi Trevor
I was at a timeshare resort in Malta a week or two back, Azure for a Radisson Blu resort in Malta, and they told me they had the same problem with other companies advertising weeks at the resort, when they weren’t available. They said this was tactic to draw response, then the company advertising says that the week has gone and tries to get them to book something else. So not just an Anfi issue.

14/09/2017 at 7:39 pm #15981I’ve finished setting up the new menus. Be grateful for any feedback on whether they need further changes, or if it helps to find the sections of Forums you need.
Please remember to take a few minutes to post any updates from your latest visit to Anfi, whether restaurants, about Anfi, places to visit, flight info, things to do, or anything else.
Also you can post a short or long blog about your last vist via the Member Stories section – link below

Have Anfi moved on with this? Or advised what they are doing?

04/09/2017 at 10:32 am #15430Yes for a 2 bed is 6 max, including children over 2
Children under 2 are not counted toward the 6.
If you’ll exceed the 6 suggest ask Customer Services first, not sure if flexibility
15/08/2017 at 12:29 pm #14919another way to see list of recent posts and the last post content is via My Club / My Details / then under My memberships, click on the Anfi UK Membership – which ought to be same as link below
You can see the 10 most recent posts with post content, then click Next at top right to go back to older posts

09/08/2017 at 4:44 pm #14765For last few years I’ve always taken my own small sharp knife as the Anfi ones never seem sharp. Last year I found a shop in Arguineguin that sells a small & lightweight sharpener for a few euros, so I just keep that in my suitcase now to sharpen the Anfi ones.
08/08/2017 at 10:38 am #14715I’ve updated link to improvement ideas, so will take you straight to correct addresses now!
07/08/2017 at 1:22 pm #14681Hi Liam

02/08/2017 at 8:03 pm #14531Hi Liam
Very useful feedback. I’ve updated the index which shows on the right hand side, hopefully better as shows more of recent posts and then the topics that have recent activityI’m also looking at various add ons to the bbPress forum site which might give us more features. For navigation if you click on the Forum index at top right, or any of the “Forum – main sections” beneath that, it does give the main Forum sections, but I will continue to look at whether we can get a better drop down structure – I have not found that yet with bbPress

29/07/2017 at 7:06 pm #14454On our points at Gran Anfi we get 12 months ahead, if we book at Monte or Beach etc is 10 months ahead
There is premium version of contract that allows you 18 months into your main resort, much like David described – if buying be very careful what you sign up to, as does not always tie in with what sales tell you!

24/07/2017 at 4:31 pm #14306Hi Liam
looking forward to hearing your feedback on gym and restaurants – I’m back out later October so will be starting to plan my own schedule in a month or soIf you have a car I do recommend the rum factory at Arucas!!
Regards, Brian
17/07/2017 at 9:44 pm #14074I agree entirely. So thoughtless. Let’s hope Anfi take notice.
