Thanks very much Brian for your helpful reply.I have spoken to Regina from customer relations and she seems to think we can make the change ok but appears unsure whether we can still remain members of AVC. Paying for AVC membership includes the Anfi RCI membership which we have never used. Presumably that is if you want to have your week(s) banked to use outside anfi eg if you can no longer fly and want to use UK timeshare for instance.If you want to use it at Anfi ,I assume you would just bank with anfi to book another week and pay a booking fee.
It seems odd that they would prevent you from changing your fixed week just because you take the option to move to fixed from the flexible option in the new contract( they think flexible is more modern than floating)I am going to reapply to customer services for attention of Maria Hildago and ask them to confirm details of AVC membership and also that we retain our ability to use our RCI points from tenerife ownership to come to Anfi every year with no 3 or 4 year block on returning to anfi which we use most years to get a second week.

I have just cancelled 2 weeks at ABC for the first two weeks of May 21 with AVC. We have one floating week at ABC purchased from Anfi. One week was from 2020 and the other for this year .With no problems they cancelled the weeks and said that we had until December 2022 to use the weeks but said the home week needed to be deposited by 17th september 2021 which I did not understand. This was just through AVC and not RCI. There was no mention of any fees.
Last year on trying to cancel a week for May 2020 AVC insisted that a cancellation fee was payable and did not seem to know there was a global pandemic so I went to customer relations and spoke to Maria Hidalgo who was very helpful and sorted it out with no fee.
Jet 2 have no flights until May 18th from Manchester whereas Easyjet have some flights in March and April. If no one is allowed to go to the airport at present who can go on these March to May flights .Are they just dummies in case Boris brings things forward.
