I thought we link to anfi.com, but I couldn’t find it just now. We do have dead links to http://anfi.com/en/multimedia/virtual_tours.htm and http://www.anfidelmar.com/. Anfi used to be at http://www.anfi.es and I’m surprised they dropped it when they started using http://www.anfi.com.
We should link to anfi.com, but there’s not much point in linking to the useful stuff because it all stops at a login and after the login it splits five ways depending on where you own. We can each only see the information about our own resort directly. By fiddling with the URL you can see some things from the other resorts which could be worth linking to. That would really need a page just unravelling Anfi’s obfuscation.

10/03/2016 at 7:35 pm #576That’s a lot better. The hamburger still needs emphasis if possible, but now it’s not being overshadowed by a menu that looks as it it’s the main way in.

10/03/2016 at 6:55 pm #558The site is usable on our iPad mini in landscape mode, but in portrait the ‘hamburger’ menu is long-winded. It’s also the main route into the site, but is somewhat hidden being light grey. If you turn the ‘top menu’ back off does/can our main menu take its place?

10/03/2016 at 6:46 pm #557Can it do two level Simple Dropdowns so all the forums would be between ‘Discussion’ and ‘Haunts and Hideaways’? If it’s a tick box I guess not. That half-way house would fix my problem with popups as the cursor would have to travel vertically downscreen to trigger it inadvertently, and a small movement left or right would dismiss it. It takes a large movement to dismiss the megamenu.

10/03/2016 at 5:31 pm #544A touch screen or touchpad device are less of a problem because the cursor goes directly from wherever it is to where you touch. Using a mouse the cursor has to take some path. Even though my concentration is on the web page the cursor may be anywhere, over a different application even (or in my case a different screen or even a different computer*), and as I move it to where I am looking it so often passes through an area that triggers a popup that obliterates my view. The chances are small, but it seems to happen disproportionately often.
Popups are good when you intend to trigger them, not so when you don’t.
If you mouse over a FaceBook ID picture its popup only appears after a short time. Just traversing it quickly has no effect. If this isn’t built into the theme though it wouldn’t be easy to do.

*I use one mouse and keyboard across two computers and three screens, sometimes plus my laptop when I add it to the mix.
10/03/2016 at 11:00 am #535Coud it be a two-level menu? Hover over ‘MY CLUB’ to get ‘News’, Member to Member’, ‘Admin’ and ‘Help’, with each of those expanding to the current sub-sets? Does the Theme allow this?

09/03/2016 at 1:33 pm #509They always seem to trigger while I’m wanting to click on something that gets covered up. The cursor is elsewhere and so often it seems to go to where I want it via the popup trigger area.

08/03/2016 at 5:47 pm #504Would logged-in ordinary members be able to add the static info for a new ‘venue’, like they can with the forum?
