Hi Brian
Late response to thank you and Wolfgang for the input.
We managed to rent out the week we didn’t own on Wolfgang’s site by asking the owner to arrange a new guest certificate.
We have since rented our own weeks 47 and 48 on the rentals page of Anfi uk members site very quickly as you thought would be the case.
I have to say that issue of guest certificates from Anfi has been very impressive, contrary to recent reports. The best result after I emailed yesterday, paid their fee today and received the certificate today! Amazing

Thought others may wish to hear of our success in obtaining refunds after the initial rejections. As I mentioned above we had our regular 2 weeks 47 and 48 at ABC together with week 46 rented from another owner. All weeks were ultimately during the November lockdown for tier 3
The insurance firm told us we were not covered because this was timeshare (which we were previously unaware of.) However we insisted that the week 46 was a rental and they eventually changed their mind on that week only and refunded the rental less 100.00 excess.
Weeks 47 and 48 maintenance fees were paid by credit card, but a previous request for refund had been refused on the basis that the resort at ABC was available even though there were no flights. However, we could now show with a copy of the announcement from Anfi website that the resort was not available. Whilst Anfi were offering other options, it seems that the credit card company, Santander, were satisfied that this was not the deal we had paid for and refunded the full amount!! It took a while but a positive result.I thought it would be worth a try for anyone else who paid by credit card.

Hi Roger
Since I posted the above I have spoken to Anfi customer services who said that my only option was to try and rent the weeks to someone from another country!
I believe that Anfi Beach Club remains closed during my weeks 47 and 48. This surely means that I am not getting the holiday I have paid and contracted for on the credit card. If I could obtain something officially stating the closure, then maybe there would be a chance of a refund from the Bank.

Hi Christine
We too are very angry at the apparent complete lack of flexibility by Anfi. We are due to arrive next Monday 16th for 3 weeks to Anfi Beach Club.
Jet2 have cancelled the flights (with a refund) so we have a problem even without current Government restrictions. Surely since Anfi have advised that they are not even opening Beach Club we have some right to alternative dates.
We have tried reclaiming on the credit card payment but the bank said that as the accommodation is open and available to us they will not refund.
We thought that our annual insurance would cover us but it turns out that our company UK Insurance doesn’t even cover Timeshare accommodation. Total news to me having had this insurance for 10 years to cover our annual trips to Anfi.
The final insult relates to the first of our weeks which we are renting from another owner. We assumed we could claim that back, but the insurers said that because we booked it in April when there were travel restrictions we could not claim. This, regardless of the intended travel date of November 16th
Obviously all these organisations have appropriate small print reserved for such occasions.
If any non-AVC member has found a solution I’d love to hear it as I don’t see any reduced 2021 fees will cover our loss

Hi Derek
I am fairly sure that maintenance is the same for the individual apartments based on their original designation 1 or 2 bed, penthouse etc.
I have rented extra weeks from members over the last few years and find that the difference in rental is generally due to the desirability of the apartment location i.e. floor level, resort, time of year etc.
