Yes, weird. For some reason the automated pagination commands are being inserted. I will investigate. It might be to do with….
In the meantime, when copying into user stories from the old system, please use the ‘copy plain text’ option, as you’re bringing a whole load of code with the text, including <div> and <blockquote> tags – the latter is what causes the blue line down the left.
I will add rtf, odt, ods, odp to the list.
We cannot restrict png, jpg, gif, because those are used in the presentation of the public pages.
We should not be uploading video – it will grind the site to a halt. Video should be done via YouTube or Vimeo, as they are designed for video streaming. We can easily embed either.
Having said that, I’ve now gone away and restricted file upload types to prohibit audio and video.

Not sure I made myelf clear.
The ‘Rentals and Resales’ page (https://anfiukmembers.co.uk/rentals-and-resales/) is the public page, that anyone can see (i.e. rentals available), and the T&Cs try to reflect that. (The ‘to list your ad click here’ link just takes you back to the ‘My Timeshares’ page).
You clearly went through the process of creating an advert from the ‘My Timeshares’ > ‘My Adverts’ pages, because you ‘paid’ £10 (. So, you should have an editable ad appearing on the ‘My Adverts’ page. Question: where do the T&Cs for advertisers go? As a similar box on the top of the ‘my adverts’ page?

I am about to create these fields and associated forms. My intention is:
- Available to enter at registration, but mostly not compulsory. See discussion above about phone numbers and barriers to completing the process.
- Editable by user after registration, on the ‘my details‘ page.
- Include on the form lots of encouragement as to why the club needs this data.
From a setup point of view, is this a good opportunity to ask members to reconfirm their information? (i.e. audit, plus them doing the manual update rather than us!)
Comments please.
Edits to T&Cs for the ‘Rentals and Resales’ page:
- Removed the ‘Time lapsed’ section to be included only for advertisers, as it’s not relevant to purchasers
- Removed the bullet stating that the advert process is not automated and relies on volunteers
- Changed the wording about ‘Contact Owner’ to reflect wording in the ad
Should there be any statements about reporting inappropriate content? This should perhaps also be reflected in the advertiser T&Cs, as we’re now not validating ads before posting.
There isn’t an easy ‘quote’ feature. However, I have now enabled nested replies, which means that if you use the ‘reply’ feature on a post rather than the big edit box at the bottom, it stays with the post you’re replying to. e.g. see my reply to Roger’s post under Member Data Fields
The default is only to allow 2 levels of reply. I wonder if it would be worth increasing this to 3, but would stick to 2 if you’re happy with this. If you increase it much more, discussions will start to fragment again…
Membership expiry is shown on the ‘My Orders’ page, which lists all purchases, including memberships. I will explain (later) some constraints with respect to the structure of fields used in ordering and fields used for other member data…
My intention is that the ‘My Club’ page should contain signposts to all these elements, but of course it doesn’t yet…
Okay, so it should now be possible to create your timeshare(s) using the ‘Add a Timeshare’ link on the ‘My Timeshares‘ page. The extract below shows the 4 test timeshares I’ve created, one for each type. As indicated by David, I have included the contracted apartment and Apartment No in all timeshares, and the Details column shows different information depending on the type shown.
These were all created with the front-end form, and appear in the list as soon as created. Please let me know if this now meets the requirement for member Timeshare data – once confirmed, I’ll add the ‘edit’ and ‘create/edit ad’ functionality.
Key changes:
- a timeshare can now only exist for one Resort;
- Apartment No and Apartment Type are entered for every contract type;
- purchase type (via Anfi or resale) is not listed here but is required when any entry is created;
- Biennial has an ‘odd/even’ years flag, otherwise is the same as ‘Fixed’;
- Anfi Emerald Club name has been corrected.
(right-click ‘View Image’ or similar to see a full-size version).

Do any of the above need an ‘Apartment Number’ field, and if so, is it always numeric, or might it include a letter-code sometimes? Or would it be better to let people put this in the free-form text instead?

The checkout process is currently entirely the default WooCommerce functionality, which I set up simply to test the subscription functionality. I have not yet set up the custom fields for members, or set up the requirements for the data they must submit to join. I will take account of all of the above when I get to this bit.
Roger’s points 11 and 12 are already dealt with in the existing functionality – I will explain in due course 🙂
Em, with respect to multiple choice of Timeshare type, a member can list as many timeshares as they want, but each can only be of one type. It is just the timeshare data that I want to discuss in this thread. So,
- when they are listing ‘Fixed’, what fields should be available to describe that timeshare?
- when they are listing ‘Floating’, what fields should be available to describe that timeshare?
- when they are listing ‘Points’, what fields should be available to describe that timeshare?
- when they are listing ‘Biennial’, what fields should be available to describe that timeshare?
Sorry for not being more clear in the first place.

My interpretation of the above has led to the current setup, with the following options:
- Fixed: Club(s), Apartment Type, Changeover Day, Week number(s)
- Floating: Club(s), Number of weeks
- Points: Club(s), Number of weeks, Points
You can go to the ‘My Timeshares‘ page and ‘Add a Timeshare’ to see it in action (fields appear/disappear depending on your choice).
Please correct these as required. I NEED to receive it as a complete and simple list of fields that should be available for each type, as above. Thanks. NB There is also a notes field, in which people can keep info about contractual background etc. if they want to.
I cannot progress the advert functionality until this bit is finalised, so please prioritise. Thanks.

Thank you. Will attempt to adjust accordingly, and will edit this post when done…
Number of weeks: will add for floating and points.
I wasn’t sure if weeks checkboxes were relevant to floating/points (e.g. are some of them restricted to certain times of year?). If so, then the week number selection should apply to all timeshares. If not, then they apply only to fixed. Let me know…
Apartment type: will replace ‘number of bedrooms’ with a select/add option. Is this relevant only to Fixed?
Changeover day is the ‘start day’ as listed. Is this relevant only to Fixed?
Week 53 has now been removed.
My intention is that, once we have ‘owned’ weeks defined and displayed correctly, then
- For sale ads must be based on your ‘owned’ timeshare
- Rental ads can either
- be based on the ‘owned’ timeshare, or
- be based on a ‘custom’ dataset in the event that the data needs to change (likely for floating/points ads, or if a 2-week-fixed-owner wants to rent their second week).
- ‘Tell me what you want’ ads – can be advertised as floating/points, with discussion in custom text that will be available.
I also propose that a member would not have access to creating ads until they have listed an ‘owned’ timeshare, even if they want to create a custom ad – this will encourage people to give you the member info you want.
