    Quick update

Karl Stones at Anfi collections advises we can request a certificate in person next time we are at Anfi. He also commented that some owners elect to leave their certificates with Anfi for safe keeping (so its possible we chose this option last time we upgraded)

    Thanks again for your response

Thank you Brian – I have asked Anfi if there is a process for replacing it

    Regards

    Thanks Brian

We have already moved to the new contract – the carrot was adding the family on as co-owners. Despite the many questionable statements from Anfi about the benefits of ownership and what you will be able to do in AVC we still love the place and hopefully through the new contract our children will be able to enjoy it in the future

We thought depositing our fixed weeks was a smart plan in advance of the pandemic, and just a bit frustrated that we cannot use AVC to pay for something for us in the UK again this year. The other obvious frustration is that there is no foresight of the approximate points to £ value when you are looking to book externally (which is done via Expedia.ie) – so a further complication of points to euro to £

Oh well, will update when I hear back

Thanks for your replies, I have asked the question, but replies from AVC are quite slow at the moment.

I did find a clause in the AVC rules that states you cannot use points externally in 2 adjacent years

I think these 2 clauses probably apply

15.2 Members in good standing may make a Travel Exchange once every two years, starting from the year after enrolment as
a Member of the Anfi Vacation Club. This applies to each individual period of Occupancy Rights.

15.12 In order to do a Travel Exchange members may borrow up to 25% of the value in Anfi Points of his Occupancy Rights
    from next year.

I hadn’t considered RCI as we have never used them. I will ask if I can still move my 2020 points to RCI

    Thanks

    Thanks Brian

I did ask the question of the AVC team while I was trying to find other ways to use our accumulated points and they did confirm one free transfer is still in place.

I was similarly confused by the first link that showed a charge of 10 euro

Wouldn’t be surprised if the free transfer is quietly removed in the future
