Although we live in Glasgow, the last few times we have flown to Anfi has either been from Prestwick or Edinburgh.
Each of these is only an extra 20 mins to get to than Glasgow, but the savings have been too much to turn down.
Almost £400 saving in total for the 2 of us, if I compare to JET 2 and probably a bit more with TUI, and we’re not compromising on flight times that land you in at 2 am.
Flies out around 6.15am (ok, so that’s an early start) and flies back around 11,30am. On our final day, id rather be up and away than hanging around all day waiting to go home, so it suits us.
Might be worth a look for anyone that normally flies from Glasgow.

10/01/2024 at 11:39 pm #102237Visited here again tonight.
I take back all I said previously. I’ve no idea what happened, but we ordered a lasagne and a grilled chicken breast with ‘spicy fries’lasagne was just about passable, but only just. Chicken was bland, fries had some salt on them. sautéed veg may have been sautéed, but I don’t think it was tonight.
Needless to say, we won’t be spending our hard earned cash here again.
We’ll vote with our feet.
Also, when we got the bill, i thought €11 for a Martini with sprite was a bit of a joke.
I appreciate prices are going up but that’s ridiculous.08/06/2023 at 6:35 pm #91817Hi Brian
It passed without incident, as far as I’m aware. It just seemed to be a bit windy with a small amount of light rain. Unless anyone in another part of resort has noticed anything different.
We have a friend in Tenerife at the moment and they had torrential rain.
Today has been back to being glorious.Regards

06/06/2023 at 4:11 pm #91740Thanks for that Brian and sorry for the late reply.
we’ve only arrived and it looks like they are taking precautions for storm Oscar.
it’s windy and the water is very choppy. Looks like it might be like this till the end of the week.I’ll update with anything major, but whilst I think it’s helping the uk with high pressure and better weather, it’s giving the canaries a kicking by the sounds of it.

02/05/2023 at 10:27 am #89924Apologies if this sounds like a silly question.
my cousin is renting an apartment in July and has never been to Anfi before and doesn’t own there, can she still make use of the Anfi transfer service?Regards

26/04/2023 at 8:22 pm #89714I need to do a top 5 too.
interesting comment regarding Bella Pasta, might give it another bash.
I totally agree regarding on-site, they just don’t offer value for money and service offered elsewhere. We know it’s down to their horrendous rents and that’s not changing anytime soon.24/04/2023 at 10:30 pm #89616hi Brian
I think the most I have waited is maybe 15-20 minutes.
we waited ages for our luggage last year as well, perhaps that has also caused a delay.
21/04/2023 at 5:43 pm #89478I used to use A2B transfers, but we’ve used Anfi for years now-cant see there being much of a difference as €11 p/p each way is hard to beat.
09/01/2023 at 10:31 am #85280Hi Stuart
It can be tricky, I suppose it all comes down to trust to a certain extent.
Maybe one way to do it would be agree to pay a deposit and the balance once you have the Guest Certificate in your name.

08/12/2022 at 8:25 am #84123Hi Brian
we looked into Cueva Pirata, but hey seem to be closed again. 🥴
30/10/2022 at 8:56 am #82745I used to love the ‘top 5’ posts.
I think I’ll do one when I come back in December.30/10/2022 at 8:54 am #82744We are going out at the start of December, does anyone know if it will be open then?
In the 13 years we’ve been going to Anfi (mainly in June) it’s never been opened.

Robert
30/10/2022 at 8:36 am #82742I’ve rented out a couple times on this forum and also advertised elsewhere, however when I always ask where they had seen the ad-it has always been on here.
I also have had a few enquiries asking which specific apartment number it would be, which is impossible to tell on a floating week.
Based on my own personal experience, I probably wouldn’t bother advertising anywhere else in future.

I look forward to the link as I couldn’t make the meeting and some of the questions are quite interesting.

23/06/2022 at 9:40 am #79159We were at Anfi June 4th-14th and I think the Cocktail bar was rarely open.
When we were at the cocktail bar pre-covid, it was quite nice, until he installed a pool table.

23/06/2022 at 9:35 am #79158That would probably make sense of what I saw.
Only 1 or 2 reps, and they were speaking to couples at Gran pool, which would probably be existing members.

23/06/2022 at 9:31 am #79157It was sad to see the flower boxes still empty on my balcony, although they are making good work on the flower boxes on the road into Anfi.
Apologies for not getting a picture of the full box, I was tinkering with a new camera.

15/06/2022 at 10:06 am #78886Just as a side note, but a little off topic.
Given the news stories we saw before departure regarding long security queues at airports, we decided to purchase Fast Track security through Ryanair.
When we checked our bags in at Las Palmas, we were informed that there was no Fast track security at Las Palmas and that we should contact Ryanair for a refund, which I’ve now done.
It’s not a lot of money, but I’m not letting them have it for nothing-the website form only took a minute to fill in.
Incidentally, the security at Las Palmas was a breeze.Regards

15/06/2022 at 8:26 am #78883We were here 3 time this visit and loved every time.
Food and service are superb.
it’s now our number 1 .
If you haven’t been, you really should.

Robert
15/06/2022 at 8:22 am #78882We went once during our visit, and whilst it’s still a firm favourite, my wife found her pork dish quite tough.
Excellent service as usual.

15/06/2022 at 8:19 am #78881We visited here last week and have to say that it was quite impressive.
The interior was lovely and it was very busy.
The food was good quality and I would certainly go back.
My wife said the Prawn Puri was sensational.
I must say that the restaurant section at the end of Mogan Mall os a lovely place to eat and I would recommend anyone to give it a bash.
Regards
Robert
11/06/2022 at 6:05 pm #78644We managed to visit here during the week and had a superb meal with a lovely view of the sunset over Anfi.
So much so that we have booked again for tomorrow night when it is our wedding anniversary.Glad to put it back on our ‘go to’ list.
11/06/2022 at 6:02 pm #78643I’ve read somewhere that it is important to get your passport stamped as you leave GC also, as it may affect ‘allowed time in European countries’ if this is not done.
I think as uk citizens we are only allowed 90 days in a 180 day period.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks
robert.
