Unfortunately we are in a similar position. We had booked in June and had flights cancelled.
We moved the week to week 50 in the hope of renting it out. We had it rented until last week when the renter pulled out due to further restrictions, so we had to refund them-this was something we had previously agreed should things get worse.
I’ve re advertised the week at a reduced rate but I am not hopeful of anything happening on that front.
As we are a resale owner, I won’t even bother contacting Anfi about carrying it over as I know there will be no chance of doing it.
We also have a week booked in January which probably won’t happen either, but thankfully I can move that one.
Regarding our insurance-Direct Line doesn’t cover maintenance payments either, as it is maintenance and not a holiday.
Like a lot of things this year, we are putting it down to experience.

Robert
06/08/2020 at 3:50 pm #58279Hi Andy
Welcome to the forum.
I’ve been chasing Anfi myself for a guest certificate I have been waiting for, as I am renting out a week in December.
I called them yesterday and they said they would get to it but they are currently dealing with this months cancellations.
What have the owners said to you?
Regards
Robert
03/08/2020 at 2:58 pm #58222I tend to just tell them I no longer own at Anfi-one even called from a mobile number-very professional!!

03/08/2020 at 2:54 pm #58221I was just about to ask about Tauro as I had just had a look at the webcam and no-one was there.
It’s poor that they haven’t communicated this to the members.

23/06/2020 at 12:38 am #57335I was on to Anfi today and actually forgot to ask when they would be opening.
I was booking for next June.
I asked the chap how things were and he said some hotels will be opening, but only ones without a pool.
I would assume this has got something to do with the situation. I take it they wouldn’t want to open until they can ‘fully’ open.
Fingers crossed they are open soon for everyone.19/05/2020 at 3:45 pm #56549My flights got cancelled by TUI for 8th June. Unfortunately my travel insurance with Direct Line doesn’t cover recouping maintenance fees back so I have asked for a week later in the year that I will TRY to rent out. Fingers crossed I can recoup something back.
I’ll post an ad in rentals shortly!!
Thanks
Robert
18/03/2020 at 5:42 am #55259We’ve booked for 8th June but I have already given up on that.
I’m sure my flight will be cancelled and refunded. But I’m not sure about my week. As this situation is very open ended, booking for later in the year might not be an option.
I’ve never had to claim travel insurance before but I assume there might be some way of doing this for my week that has been paid, similar to any normal accommodation that has already been paid. Any help on this would be appreciated.14/03/2020 at 8:51 pm #55184It’s a terrible situation. My cousin is in playa del ingles at the moment and will be flying back tomorrow now that jet 2 will bringing them home.
she says the locals are terrified about their livelihoods.03/03/2020 at 9:43 am #54842We were at Anfi in January and we used Chapter One a few times as its probably my favourite place onsite.
Their pizzas and burgers are lovely-if that’s your thing.
Gran Bahia is pretty nice too for a snack lunch, although I haven’t eaten there in the evening.
We never usually eat onsite but one night we got lazy and decided to give Bella Pasta another bash.
I always think that a decent Italian can get 3 things right- Minestrone Soup, Pizza or Lasagne.
I had the Lasagne. Let’s say we won’t be back.
I’m not on here to knock the onsite offering, I just wish they offered better quality and value, I really do. I also understand the reason they are under pressure with high rents etc, but they have the most idyllic location, but the end product lets them down so badly-even at basic levels.
Waiting ages for the bill when you have asked for it and it’s not busy is inexcusable and is my pet hate.
Maybe I’ve just given the onsite restaurants ‘another chance’ too many times, but I work too hard for my money to be given substandard food and service at inflated prices when great food and service is only a 10 minute walk or 5 minutes in a taxi away.

01/01/2020 at 11:20 pm #52473Has anyone eaten here recently?
It’s always closed when we are at Anfi in June, but we will be here this month.
Thanks

12/11/2019 at 3:54 pm #50373Quite embarrassed to say that I have filled this form for the first time, despite owning for over 10 years. I will post it tomorrow.

15/07/2019 at 12:57 pm #44296I’ll have a look but Ive never had to look for anything like this. First thing that pops into my mind is the Dakota hotel that sits just off the M8.
08/07/2019 at 11:30 am #43941I would certainly do my best to get to a meet up in the Glasgow or Edinburgh area.
08/07/2019 at 11:24 am #43939Still enjoy this place when I visit!
I was the last person to review this back in January.
Has anyone else visited since then?
08/07/2019 at 11:21 am #43938Can’t believe I was the last person to review this place back in January.
Still my number 1!!
08/07/2019 at 11:19 am #43937We ate here back in June, as my wife fancied something on the menu.
I never fancied much from their grill so I decide to order a pizza-it says its made by Bella Pasta next door. An Italian restaurant can do a great pizza-right?? wrong.
I think I have had my fill of most of the eating places onsite now-most of them lack any value or service.
08/07/2019 at 11:11 am #43936Went here a few times for a take away lunch-very good food and service-the guy even gave me a Spanish lesson!!
Also popped in for a burger before we headed home-they are hand made on the premises and you can tell the difference. Looking forward to going back.
If you haven’t tried-give them a try.
08/07/2019 at 11:04 am #43935If I could retract my previous post I would.
We popped in on the 1st June for. quick nibble as we had arrived very late.
Food was ok, but the staff just couldn’t be bothered-they have had the last euro from me!!
08/07/2019 at 10:59 am #43934I’ve never really saw it being used any of the times I have been there.
I saw this being removed at the beginning of June (Apologies, I should have posted sooner)
08/07/2019 at 10:57 am #43933I can certainly recommend. We popped in a couple of nights at the start of June. The owner is a fully trained sommelier, very pleasant to chat to and I’m sure he will show you all his award certificates behind the bar.
Other outlets onsite could learn a thing or two about service from him.
Looking forward to going back in January.
28/03/2019 at 3:21 pm #37721Got an email from Ryanair to say they had changed our flight time from Edinburgh in June, now leaving Edinburgh & GC around 6 hours later. They gave us the option to cancel if we wanted, as it was over a 3 hour change.
I tried ‘online chat’ and also tried calling them to ask why it had changed. On both chat and call I got through to some numpty who just could not understand why I was asking this and I also explained I could rebook and save money-could’nt they just refund me the difference, but they couldn’t understand why I didn’t just want to cancel.
Came off the phone in a mood and double checked online.
I called Ryanair again to cancel, they processed a full refund, I went back onto their site and rebooked, sitting in the exact same seats (as they had come available again after the cancellation) and saved the £85!!
Could have done without the hassle, but I suppose I’ll just have to have a nice lunch on Mr O’Leary!!
All in all we booked 2x flights, reserved seating and 1 x 20 Kilo luggage each way between us for £328
29/01/2019 at 10:30 am #34973As far as I am aware you can only claim if you bought directly from Anfi, not resale.
