Just as a side note, but a little off topic.
Given the news stories we saw before departure regarding long security queues at airports, we decided to purchase Fast Track security through Ryanair.
When we checked our bags in at Las Palmas, we were informed that there was no Fast track security at Las Palmas and that we should contact Ryanair for a refund, which I’ve now done.
It’s not a lot of money, but I’m not letting them have it for nothing-the website form only took a minute to fill in.
Incidentally, the security at Las Palmas was a breeze.Regards

15/06/2022 at 8:26 am #78883We were here 3 time this visit and loved every time.
Food and service are superb.
it’s now our number 1 .
If you haven’t been, you really should.

15/06/2022 at 8:22 am #78882We went once during our visit, and whilst it’s still a firm favourite, my wife found her pork dish quite tough.
Excellent service as usual.

15/06/2022 at 8:19 am #78881We visited here last week and have to say that it was quite impressive.
The interior was lovely and it was very busy.
The food was good quality and I would certainly go back.
My wife said the Prawn Puri was sensational.
I must say that the restaurant section at the end of Mogan Mall os a lovely place to eat and I would recommend anyone to give it a bash.

11/06/2022 at 6:05 pm #78644We managed to visit here during the week and had a superb meal with a lovely view of the sunset over Anfi.
So much so that we have booked again for tomorrow night when it is our wedding anniversary.Glad to put it back on our ‘go to’ list.
11/06/2022 at 6:02 pm #78643I’ve read somewhere that it is important to get your passport stamped as you leave GC also, as it may affect ‘allowed time in European countries’ if this is not done.
I think as uk citizens we are only allowed 90 days in a 180 day period.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks
robert.
11/06/2022 at 5:58 pm #78642We visited earlier in the week and probably won’t be back.
The food wasn’t as good as has been in the past, which was excellent.
I also thought €6 was a bit steep for a bottle of Cobra beer, although, even as a Scotsman, that wasn’t the reason😂.
it gives us a reason not to visit the shopping centre as we’ve never been the biggest fans of having menus thrust in our face from other places, although I realise they are only doing their job.11/06/2022 at 5:49 pm #78641We are here just now and have noticed that although there was never a maid service on a Wednesday or Sunday, there was always a bin change.
The bin change has been temporarily suspended.
Also there is no entertainment in the plaza in the evenings and nothing advertised on the entertainment board.
Are these just cost cutting exercises due to the administration?Whilst the entertainment was never the greatest, at least it brought an atmosphere to the plaza.
someone else said to me that Benito is no longer in the plaza in the evenings for the kids, although I’ve only got that news second hand.regards

08/06/2022 at 7:56 am #78421I got the confusion cleared.
the ‘Spth’ form is from the Spanish government. You only need to complete that if you DO NOT have a COVID Passport, or DCC as it is called.
passenger locator forms no longer required at all.
we flew in on Saturday, first off the plane, passport stamped straight away and the ‘showing of the covid passport’ is only randomly selected.
we were through with no delay, just the usual waiting at the carousel.
I hope this helps someone.regards

Sorry to mess up your forum tidying by using the old thread but I couldn’t find a way to reply to the new thread or start a new one.

ps. Brian, for clarification, is it the Taj Palace at the marina that is around 1/3 cheaper?
I tried it a few years ago and it was nice, but we’ve been going to Happy valley for so long.
24/05/2022 at 11:43 am #77840Am I right in saying that this is fully open?
is it worth a visit and any restaurant recommendations for here?
regards
Robert
03/04/2022 at 3:16 pm #76097For Indian, I’ve always found Happy Valley in the PR shopping centre excellent.

08/11/2021 at 11:11 am #70409I had a problem last year and Anfi said I would get it nearer the time, which I found unacceptable when you’re trying to get a rental fee from someone who doesn’t know you and who has to ‘believe’ that you’ve actually booked it.
A couple of phone calls eventually sorted it.
08/11/2021 at 11:01 am #70408I have yet to be contacted by Anfi to sign a new contract on my 2 weeks.
I’m wondering if it because of one or both of the following reasons.
1. They are both resale weeks in Gran
2. The were bought in 2009
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Robert
08/11/2021 at 10:56 am #70406I was in the same boat as well being a resale owner.
My insurer (Direct Line) refused to pay out for the same reason.
However, when I called to book for 2022, Anfi gave me 2 additional weeks to use.
I booked them immediately, before anything changed.

14/05/2021 at 8:23 pm #64176I’m glad to say that Ryanair have just emailed me to say that they are cancelling my flights from Edinburgh next month.
Hopefully the refund procedure won’t be tedious.

Robert
14/05/2021 at 8:22 pm #64175I have the same problem, only link I see is Club Forum on far right.
Using a Mac and Safari 14.1, I’ve had this for a while as well and meant to mention it.
11/05/2021 at 7:37 pm #64084I’m a bit confused myself.
We are due to go on 5th June with Ryanair from Edinburgh, but as Spain is still on the amber list which requires self isolation on the way back (I don’t even know what’s required going into GC. I haven’t looked as we won’t be going)
I was hoping to get a refund from Ryanair, but now I’m not so sure.
Spain is open, we are now allowing travel there, but I would have to self isolate on the way back, which I can’t get time off work for, nor could I afford to take unpaid leave on order to do it.
I have no idea where I stand on this as Ryanair could probably say the isolation is noting to do with them.
it may be early days, but can anyone shed any light on this?
thanks in advance
Robert
25/04/2021 at 5:58 pm #63697We have a Ryanair flight booked from Edinburgh on 5th June. We’ve already decided that we aren’t going and have put the week up for rent.
I’m just hoping that Ryanair will cancel the flight rather than me having to move it to another time of the year as I have already cancelled my January week at a cost of €40.
I tried to rebook Anfi for later in the year only to be told there wasn’t availability, so I feel I probably won’t get use of my weeks this year, and that’s after losing a week last year.
As much as it hurts in the pocket, we are looking at the bigger picture and just glad that we have our health.regards

11/03/2021 at 2:11 pm #62847We had a week in January which we cancelled and we were charged a €40 fee.
