2 reminders for members based in the UK:-
1 health cover – if your EHIC is expiring or you haven’t got one, then apply online https://www.gov.uk/global-health-insurance-card (this also steps you through options if you are in UK but have other citizenships) – please remember as stated earlier in this topic, the EHIC is not a substitute for proper travel insurance.
2 passports – recent news highlighted cases where people turned away at airport because the don’t have enough time left on passport – see earlier posts in this topic and the note below from Graham on our Facebook group:-
“I think a reminder about passport requirements would be good. It was flagged today on Virgin radio.
Your passport must meet 2 requirements. It must be:
a) less than 10 years old on the day you enter (check the ‘date of issue’)
b) valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave (check the ‘expiry date’)Check both the issue date and the expiry date in your passport. If you renewed your passport early, extra months may have been added to its expiry date. This could affect the requirement for your passport to be less than 10 years old.”

5:07pm, 28 February 202226/02/2022 at 12:24 pm #74687we found that the member who could see the menu bar was not logged into the website and when they logged in it disappeared from all the browsers they tried
We have passed that info onto our website developer along with some other tests and hope that will help isolate the issue
24/02/2022 at 1:30 pm #74626Richard Weston has posted on our Facebook group about the rules Anfi follow for week 53
——————
The “ghost week” is unowned and offered in this order.
1. Owners week 52&1 offered to rent 1st
2. Owners of week 52 2nd then
3. Owners week 1 3rd.
4. When the week is not taken up by any of these owners the rest of us will be offered to rent the week.
That was confirmed to us in our recent committee meetings
I don’t know when it will be put on offer but likely after June.24/02/2022 at 1:26 pm #74624a member doing some testing today has told us (using Windows) that he found the problem is with Firefox browser but not with Opera or Edge. 12/02/2022 at 3:29 pm #74141Hi Moira
There was a similar question on our Facebook group a few days ago and Geoff Mathews and other members replied
– first though I’ll put 3 links at end of this where you can check for latest as things can change though hopefully will ease rather than tightenFor fully vaccinated which includes booster within last 270 days
– for entry to Spain/Canaries – need to fill in Spanish locator form – you can do most upfront and complete last bit within 48 hours of going
– you don’t need PCR or lateral flow test
– best to print off your vaccination record and take paper copy in case needed– coming back to UK (for England, check for Scottish / Irish / Wales variation) the day 2 test has gone and the passenger locator form (plf) is due to be simplified – you must fill in the plf before you check in to fly back – suggest you do at Anfi and ask reception to print off
Possible government will have changed plf requirement before you get back – just keep lookingFor links to latest
– Canaries tourist site – look under coronavirus section – and scroll down to bit for non Schengen travel and UK – https://www.hellocanaryislands.com/travelling-to-the-canary-islands/
the Spanish travel form is on https://www.spth.gob.es/– for UK gov view on Spain / Canaries rules – https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain/entry-requirements
– for UK gov requirements for return – https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-to-england-from-another-country-during-coronavirus-covid-19
Hope that helps and that you have a great time at Anfi – do put any feedback on the forum or our Facebook group – https://www.facebook.com/groups/anfiukmembersclub
11/02/2022 at 1:09 pm #74095Spain is relaxing travel rules for teenagers from Monday – https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-60335735 –
“Mr Valdés said that 12-to-17 year-olds who have not been vaccinated against Covid will be allowed into the country from Monday 14 February, if they present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival to Spain.
The restrictions will be lifted from 23:00 GMT on 13 February.”02/02/2022 at 6:03 pm #73637I think it depends where you prefer to be – and at what floor they are offering you.
I like Gran Anfi but it is further away from the central area
02/02/2022 at 6:00 pm #73636Anfi have not been asking resale buyers to sign new contracts – all the focus has been on direct buyers
Some members have asked and Anfi said not necessary – whether that will change remains to be seen. So far no resale buyers have taken a legal claim forward and the claims companies seem to look only for direct buyers – the original court case was a direct buyer so no precedent for resale.
Regards, Brian
02/02/2022 at 5:57 pm #73635The new contract is simpler to follow for fixed weeks – for floating and points it does put in a underlying fixed week and then puts that into a scheme similar to existing – so you end up with the same booking system
the contract has a clause that let’s Anfi have first refusal if you decide to sell
there are some notes about the contracts in the forum – we don’t see any reason not to sign as David has said
Anfi were offering incentives to sign especially if you have lost weeks in the pandemic period – they may not be doing that offer nowRegards, Brian
02/02/2022 at 5:52 pm #73634Hi Eric
I paid at the end of December and it went through OK though each payment had to be approved in my cards app (JaJa – the ex Post Office card)
I paid one week on my Barclaycard and that also either had a 6 digit code or in app approval, I can’t recall which)You’d think Anfi would be keen to help and get money in! Perhaps leave a week or so and try again
Regards, Brian
31/12/2021 at 6:01 pm #72267Hi Anya
Bob is absolutely right. In the current climate Anfi are super keen to close off all old contracts and have in fact been somewhat aggressive in requesting members, who bought direct, to sign new contracts or to hand back contracts.
As long as you were paid up to date when you handed back that will be fine.Kind regards
Brian24/12/2021 at 4:28 pm #72018I’m sure you will also join with us in thinking of those members who have lost loved ones and decided to give up their time at Anfi, or who have suffered major health problems affecting their ability to travel, or are not able to continue with their Anfi ownership.
Our thoughts go out to our fellow members affected, and we wish them the very best for the future.23/12/2021 at 10:53 am #71978one item other members with biennial weeks may have info on – as payment for biennial weeks maintenance are to Anfi Sales not the club, I queried the above with Anfi Collections on 15th Dec and asked how safe it was to pay money to Anfi Sales when there was an administrator appointed
As of now, no reply despite a chaser 2 or 3 days ago
23/12/2021 at 10:44 am #71977and if you haven’t paid your 2021 fees please remember that Anfi can claim back your week after 2 years of non-payment!
22/12/2021 at 3:06 pm #71948Our website developer has been looking at the problem with “missing menus” which affects some members, but so far we have had real trouble trying to replicate the issue – one of our members has offered to do a screenshare that might help the developer
Sorry for the inconvenienceMeantime the link below go to the rentals and resales webpages
rentals – https://anfiukmembers.co.uk/rentals/
resales – https://anfiukmembers.co.uk/resales/resales-tiled/
and wanted – https://anfiukmembers.co.uk/forums/forum/anfi-uk-members-club/rental-wanted/rentals and resales are available in list and tiled versions
07/12/2021 at 3:46 pm #71541then with your other questions
[I have read some of the post but I am still confused as to whether we should sign the contract and what happens if we don’t. ]
– Anfi seem to be getting more difficult with pushing people to sign, suggesting they can sign or sell – hard to be sure how awkward they will make things.
– if you sign as well as losing right to sue Anfi, Anfi have first right of refusal if you do sell. Though the contract does formalise your right to hand back the week to Anfi with no future obligation.[Do we need to sign it in order to rent our week out? by signing the contract does this also remove the in perpetuity?]
– you shouldn’t have to but Anfi have put pressure on some members to sign before they will issue a guest cert – we discussed on the members call on the 29th Nov & resale members are not under pressure yet direct purchase members have had pushback from Anfi about signing.07/12/2021 at 3:34 pm #71539Hi Lesley
By “recover the week” I think what Anfi are saying is they will give you a voucher for your 2020 week that you didn’t use, if you sign new contract. Maybe best to ask Anfi to confirm that.
With your 2021 week Anfi have offered compensation & details are in with the 2022 invoices – extract below but please read the invoice attachment to get full details – if you haven’t got that I can send you what I have just let me know (the attachments are with invoices on the anfi.com members area & when you log in, under Collections)
Your options are for your week 52:-
– try to rent out the week
– or just leave it (though read below and check what “name on arrival list” means – we read that as if you have fixed week, you are on arrivals list.
– if you don’t rent or don’t turn up, then Anfi offer compensation as either a voucher or a discount off the 2022 feeDon’t leave paying your 2021 fee until after the 2022 one becomes due as once you have missed two maintenance payments Anfi can reclaim the week.
Roger has commented on another thread that suggest members take the discount off the 2022 fee rather than the voucher, as that gives you definite £ now
If you could rent your week 52 then you may be better off financially if you can get a quick rental and ensure all rental paid to you promptly.
The voucher is for another week but do read limitations on booking periods and validity.Trust that helps but do ask if more questions
Kind regards, Brian

Arrivals between week 40 to 52/2021: If, from week 40 to 52 of the 2021 timeshare calendar, your name is on the arrival list of members to check into the club, but you do NOT arrive for whatever reason, you do not send guests or rent out your week and you do not deposit your weeks with AVC, RCI or II, you should be due compensation on your 2022 maintenance fee invoice. However, as the invoices have already been produced and uploaded onto the Anfi system prior to week 40, you will see that compensation has not been included in your invoice, because at the time of producing the invoices Anfi did not know if you were going to arrive or not. If you do not arrive or use your reservation, Anfi will contact you via email after your scheduled arrival date to confirm your eligibility to compensation.
Example: If you are scheduled to arrive on 4th December 2021 and your name is on our arrival list of members to check in on that day but you do not arrive, you will be contacted by Anfi after 4th December to confirm your eligibility for compensation, and to confirm that the compensation has been applied and that a new 2022 maintenance fee invoice has been issued and is available to be paid.
Voucher
Conditions for using accommodation vouchers:
The accommodation vouchers can be reserved 10 months in advance of your proposed arrival date and are subject to availability. These vouchers can be used to reserve accommodation in the following periods (of the timeshare calendar):
In 2023:
– weeks 16 to 25, weeks 34 to 39 and weeks 48 to 49
In 2024:
– any time of the year from week 15 onwards07/12/2021 at 12:03 pm #71522Geoff posted this thank you on our members’ Facebook group:-
“I would like to thank everyone who voted for me at the Club Puerto Anfi Election held on Thursday 2nd December 2021.
I am delighted to have been elected and I am looking forward to working with my fellow committee members Ruth Breitkopt (Germany) and Inger-Lise Welo (Norwegian) for the benefit of all Anfi members.”07/12/2021 at 11:55 am #71520Puerto Anfi Election Results – great news for the clubs nominee Geoff Mathews who has been successfully elected onto the Puerto Anfi committee (see details below). We wish Geoff every success over the next 3 years along with Ruth from Club Germany and Lise from the Norwegian Club.
It is unfortunate that so many invalid ballots were received and we hope Anfi will take action to make it as easy as possible for members to vote correctly, by clarifying instructions and/or amending the voting form.
