We used to go to Fernando’s but haven’t been for a while.
we’re  hoping to be out in early June and will give it a bash again.

I had a problem last year and Anfi said I would get it nearer the time, which I found unacceptable when you’re trying to get a rental fee from someone who doesn’t know you and who has to ‘believe’ that you’ve actually booked it.

A couple of phone calls eventually sorted it.

I have yet to be contacted by Anfi to sign a new contract on my 2 weeks.

I’m wondering if it because of one or both of the following reasons.

    1. They are both resale weeks in Gran

    2. The were bought in 2009

    Any help would be appreciated.

I was in the same boat as well being a resale owner.

My insurer (Direct Line) refused to pay out for the same reason.

However, when I called to book for 2022, Anfi gave me 2 additional weeks to use.

I booked them immediately, before anything changed.

I’m glad to say that Ryanair have just emailed me to say that they are cancelling my flights from Edinburgh next month.

Hopefully the refund procedure won’t be tedious.

I have the same problem, only link I see is Club Forum on far right.

Using a Mac and Safari 14.1, I’ve had this for a while as well and meant to mention it.

    I’m a bit confused myself.

We are due to go on 5th June with Ryanair from Edinburgh, but as Spain is still on the amber list which requires self isolation on the way back (I don’t even know what’s required going into GC. I haven’t looked as we won’t be going)

I was hoping to get a refund from Ryanair, but now I’m not so sure.

Spain is open, we are now allowing travel there, but I would have to self isolate on the way back, which I can’t get time off work for, nor could I afford to take unpaid leave on order to do it.

I have no idea where I stand on this as Ryanair could probably say the isolation is noting to do with them.

it may be early days, but can anyone shed any light on this?

    thanks in advance

We have a Ryanair flight booked from Edinburgh on 5th June. We’ve already decided  that we aren’t going and have put the week up for rent.
I’m just hoping that Ryanair will cancel the flight rather than me having to move it to another time of the year as I have already cancelled my January week at a cost of €40.
I tried to rebook Anfi  for later in the year only to be told there wasn’t availability, so I feel I probably won’t get use of my weeks this year, and that’s after losing a week last year.
As much as it hurts in the pocket, we are looking at the bigger picture and just glad that we have our health.

We had a week in January which we cancelled and we were charged a €40 fee.

Text HistoryPerhaps not a scam, but has anyone else had unsolicited text messages like these?

    Hi Ian

You may have done what I almost done.
Go to the Anfi website, click on members area, but do not log in.
look at the password request under the login and request it that way.
I got an email back straight away and it worked instantly.
hopefully this helps, please let me know how you get on.

    Regards

    Managed to get it sorted.

Anfi emailed me this morning and asked me to reset the password and it should refresh everything.

It worked as soon as I done it and it has now been paid, although all my online payment history has disappeared. I have emailed them back and asked them to have it reinstated.

    Hi Brian

Still no sign of the link, or even the invoice amount to pay online.
im not waiting to sign any new contract as I have 2 resale weeks. Anfi haven’t pestered me for anything since 2010.
I’m more disappointed that Collections haven’t been in touch.
thats 4 days now, especially as I’m trying to pay.
I’ll call them next week if I don’t hear from them, but I’ll keep trying online in the meantime.

    regards

    Thanks David.

All I seem to be able to see is my payment history.

I am using a Mac using the Safari Browser and I have also tried Google Chrome, just the same.

Also tried using an iPad with the same results.

It doesn’t show ‘invoices in pdf’ or even the maintenance fee amount, never mind a link to paying it.

Still nothing from Anfi, to be honest I thought they would have been back to me like a shot as I was trying to pay them money.

I would imagine he would be advising the travel insurance as making good sense as the EHIC isn’t the same as travel insurance. Unfortunately, some people think it’s the same thing.

Unfortunately we are in a similar position. We had booked in June and had flights cancelled.

We moved the week to week 50 in the hope of renting it out. We had it rented until last week when the renter pulled out due to further restrictions, so we had to refund them-this was something we had previously agreed should things get worse.

I’ve re advertised the week at a reduced rate but I am not hopeful of anything happening on that front.

As we are a resale owner, I won’t even bother contacting Anfi about carrying it over as I know there will be no chance of doing it.

We also have a week booked in January which probably won’t happen either, but thankfully I can move that one.

Regarding our insurance-Direct Line doesn’t cover maintenance payments either, as it is maintenance and not a holiday.

Like a lot of things this year, we are putting it down to experience.

    Hi Andy

    Welcome to the forum.

I’ve been chasing Anfi myself for a guest certificate I have been waiting for, as I am renting out a week in December.

I called them yesterday and they said they would get to it  but they are currently dealing with this months cancellations.

What have the owners said to you?

I tend to just tell them I no longer own at Anfi-one even called from a mobile number-very professional!!

I was just about to ask about Tauro as I had just had a look at the webcam and no-one was there.

It’s poor that they haven’t communicated this to the members.

I was on to Anfi today and actually forgot to ask when they would be opening.
I was booking for next June.
I asked the chap how things were and he said some hotels will be opening, but only ones without a pool.
I would assume this has got something to do with the situation. I take it they wouldn’t want to open until they can ‘fully’ open.
Fingers crossed they are open soon for everyone.

My flights got cancelled by TUI for 8th June. Unfortunately my travel insurance with Direct Line doesn’t cover recouping maintenance fees back so I have asked for a week later in the year that I will TRY to rent out. Fingers crossed I can recoup something back.

I’ll post an ad in rentals shortly!!

    Thanks

We’ve booked for 8th June but I have already given up on that.
I’m  sure my flight will be cancelled and refunded. But I’m not sure about my week. As this situation is very open ended, booking for later in the year might not be an option.
I’ve  never had to claim travel insurance before but I assume there might be some way of doing this for my week that has been paid, similar to any normal accommodation that has already been paid. Any help on this would be appreciated.

It’s a terrible situation. My cousin is in playa del ingles at the moment and will be flying back tomorrow now that jet 2 will bringing them home.
she says the locals are terrified about their livelihoods.

We were at Anfi in January and we used Chapter One a few times as its probably my favourite place onsite.

Their pizzas and burgers are lovely-if that’s your thing.

Gran Bahia is pretty nice too for a snack lunch, although I haven’t eaten there in the evening.

We never usually eat onsite but one night we got lazy and decided to give Bella Pasta another bash.

I always think that a decent Italian can get 3 things right- Minestrone Soup, Pizza or Lasagne.

I had the Lasagne. Let’s say we won’t be back.

I’m not on here to knock the onsite offering, I just wish they offered better quality and value, I really do. I also understand the reason they are under pressure with high rents etc, but they have the most idyllic location, but the end product lets them down so badly-even at basic levels.

Waiting ages for the bill when you have asked for it and it’s not busy is inexcusable and is my pet hate.

Maybe I’ve just given the onsite restaurants ‘another chance’ too many times, but I work too hard for my money to be given substandard food and service at inflated prices when great food and service is only a 10 minute walk or 5 minutes in a taxi away.

    Regards

    Robert
