We thought we’d get our tuppenceworth out here, about the airport transfers run by Anfi.  I may be wrong in saying it’s run by Anfi, but you’ll get the gist of it.

The past few years we have always used the shared transport to and from the airport.  Sometimes you are sitting on the bus at the airport waiting for flights to arrive, and no doubt the new entry/exit system will have added pressure to that.  This year the delay in getting on the road was maybe 30 – 40 minutes, so not too bad.

Our beef is with the return transfers, which have over recent years got a bit ridiculous.  This year we were dropped off at the airport 4 hours before our flight, (the longest was a couple of years back when it was 4 and a half hours).  We use Ryanair for our convenience, but in GC they usually don’t allow check-in until 2 hours before the flight departs.  The result is you are stuck in the basement hall with a few hundred others and very few seats.

This year there was no delay in Security, we were through in less that 10 minutes, and generally we have rarely been much longer than that.

I understand why the operator wants to deliver as many passengers in one go, but 4 hours before a flight is just too much.  We are now considering ditching the shared transport and going back to taxis.  Does anyone know how much we can expect to pay for a taxi from the airport to Anfi.

We ate there in February and weren’t impressed. The staff were taking turns to eat their own meals, 2 or 3 of them at a time.  The temporary short-staffing must have been the cause of the problems we had,

We noticed that customers that sat down after us, were being served their meals. After about 20 minutes, we managed to catch one of the waiters and asked about our starters.  Another chappie came to ask what our problem was, and 10 minutes later our starters arrived, with the main courses. The starters were lukewarm, and we avoided eating the meat portions, before eating our mains.

We did get the impression that they were out their depth with the amount of customers, and as mentioned, the short-staffing.

We’ll try it again next year, maybe.

    Thanks Brian, glad that’s confirmed.

Our grandson and his partner are using our Puerto apartment this summer, so earlier this month I contacted Anfi to arrange a guest certificate.

We received a quick reply saying that it had been forwarded, it hadn’t. We waited a week to make sure, then emailed Anfi when it still hadn’t arrived.  Again, we got a quick response, an apology and an attached guest certificate.  However, my name was at the top of the certificate, where the guest details should be.  My name was also further down under the “owner” part.

Yesterday I contacted Anfi, actually the named member of staff who’d sent the certificate to, point this out.  Today we received a reply apologising and acknowledging the error, and attached a second guest certificate.  Unfortunately it was exactly the same as the previous one.

I take it I am right that the guests name and address should be at the top of the certificate, whilst my name as owner should be listed further down.

Sorry for the delay in replying, problems with our laptop.

Thanks Roger, that explains a lot to us. We’ll get intouch with AVC and try to progress this.

    Appreciate the help.

    Hi folks

We’re looking for a bit of advice regarding maintenance fees and vouchers.

We have a fixed week in Puerto, week 24 and have been unable to use it since 2019 due to co-vid / cancelled flights etc.  We paid our maintenance fees (the full amount) as usual in 2020, 2021 and did receive word about a voucher scheme being put in place, but nothing more.

Our 2022 fees invoice has been sent and it is for half the usual amount.  An email recently gave us the option (assuming we have interpreted it correctly) of paying half the fees or claiming a voucher for an additional week, but paying the full amount.

We intend using our week this year, and will probably make it our only visit to Anfi, so paying half the fees is a likely thing for us.  However, we don’t know what happened to any compensation / voucher for the past 2 years fees.

We emailed Anfi customer service re this, but as yet have not received a reply.

Does anyone else know exactly what it is we are entitled to get for the last 2 years, if at all, and are we right in our interpretation of this years offer.

    Hi.

Re the compensation for lost weeks, we are at a loss to understand what is on offer, when Anfi do not respond to emails for information.

We have a set week, 24 in PA, and obviously fall into the category for something back, or so we thought.  We replied to the original email in June, and again just recently, both sent to the info covid email address.

We don’t think we will manage out there for an “extra” holiday, so would prefer to have the discount on 2021 fees.  However, we have now started getting emails from the fees dept for next years dues, we usually pay our fees around about now, but are reluctant to do so until this thing is settled.

Can anyone help explain where we should take it from here.
